About this car
This French blue Porsche wears the original livery from the 1956 24 Hours of Le Mans race.
First sold in 1954, the 550/1500RS was a racing sports car featuring a lightweight aluminum body over a steel tube frame, powered by a 4-cam flat-4 engine producing 133.1 HP. It delivered impressive results on the track, securing class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in both 1954 and 1955. This particular 1500RS is especially prized, still wearing the original paint it sported during the 1956 running of Le Mans.
