About this car
A semi-race equipped model of the 356A, one of the cars that contributed to the Porsche mystique.
Launched in 1949, the 356 A was a refined successor to Porsche’s first production model, the 356. Two variants were offered, both using a detuned version of the 550 Spyder’s engine. The 1500 GS Carrera road-going version produced 98.6 HP, while the semi-competition 1500 GS GT delivered 108.5 HP. This model also introduced the "Carrera" name—now synonymous with Porsche performance.
