This R34 GT-R took to the track in the 1999 All Japan GT Championship. Compared to the previous R33 model, its wheelbase was shortened by 2.2 inches, and the engine was repositioned using a shallow oil pan—enhancements that significantly boosted overall performance. At Round 4 held at Mine Circuit, Érik Comas and Satoshi Motoyama claimed a decisive victory in the Pennzoil NISMO GT-R, securing Comas his second consecutive drivers' title.
