About this car
An unlikely monster machine born from the elegant lines of the seventh-generation Skyline.
This high-performance variant of the seventh-generation Skyline was introduced with Group A competition squarely in its sights. Its RB20DET engine was extensively reworked, featuring a stainless steel exhaust manifold and a T04E turbocharger, complemented by refinements to the suspension and a more aggressive exterior design. The car secured the 1989 All Japan Touring Car Championship season title, yet it sparked curiosity as to why it wasn't given the GT-R name.
