About this car
This car brought an end to the GT-R's domination by taking the title in 1997.
The All Japan Grand Touring Championship (JGTC) ran until 2004, after which it evolved into the current Super GT series. Toyota entered the Supra into JGTC competition in 1994. During that era, the series was largely dominated by the Nissan Skyline GT-R; however, in 1997, the Supra finally broke through, capturing the season title with the No. 36 Castrol TOM'S Supra.
