This 4-wheel-drive pocket rocket took the Group B racing world by storm.
The 205 Turbo 16 itself was Peugeot’s Group B contender for the World Rally Championship. It won three rallies in its 1984 debut and repeated the feat in 1985. Peugeot evolved the car with more power, less weight, and better aerodynamics to produce the Evolution 2. The updated version captured 7 of 12 victories in 1985 and 6 of 13 in 1986, taking both the drivers' and manufacturers' titles.
