About this car
The debut model of the third-generation RX-7, a car developed to be the ultimate sports car.
The third-generation FD3S RX-7 was introduced in December 1991. The Savanna name used on earlier models was retired, with the official name in Japan becoming the ɛ̃fini RX-7. The car carried over the 13B rotary engine from the second generation, but output increased to 251.5 HP with the introduction of a sequential twin-turbo system. Thanks to extensive use of aluminum in components such as the hood, spare wheel, jack and 4-wheel double-wishbone suspension, the FD3S achieved an impressively low curb weight of around 2778 lbs.
