A new generation mid-engine Corvette.
Released in 2019, the eighth-generation Corvette became the first in the lineup to adopt a mid-engine layout—a major departure from the traditional front-engine design. At its core was the new 6.2-liter LT2 V-8, producing 495.1 HP and 470.1 ft-lb of torque, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Although it left behind the Corvette’s signature long-nose silhouette, the C8 delivered outstanding performance, particularly in GT racing.
