About this car
BMW's M3 GT2 raced in premier endurance contests including the ALMS and ILMC series as well as the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
The GT version, developed from this high-performance base, was extensively modified for racing. Many body panels were replaced with carbon fiber, cutting weight down to 2745 lbs, while the fenders were flared, widening the body by 4.3 inches. Even with a restrictor in place, the 4.0-liter V-8 still produced an impressive 493.1 HP.
