About this car
This iconic race car brought Jaguar many victories, notably against turbocharged competitors.
Following its string of successes at Le Mans during the 1950s, Jaguar made a return to endurance racing in 1986 with a Group C prototype. Jaguar reached its peak in 1988 with the XJR-9. Thanks to its exceptional aerodynamics and durability, it claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. That triumph secured its place in motorsports history, as Jaguar dethroned Porsche, the long-reigning champions of Le Mans.
