The final evolution of the Lancer Evo VIII with updated suspension and low center of gravity.
The eighth-generation Lancer Evolution was introduced in January 2003. Refinements to the ACD (Active Center Differential) and AYC (Active Yaw Control) systems improved both handling and ride comfort. The 4G63 engine delivered up to 289.3 ft-lb of torque, and with the addition of a new 6-speed manual transmission, the car was better equipped than ever to perform in a wide range of driving conditions.
