France's world-famous economy car, the 2 CV remained in production for 42 years after its introduction in 1948. Introduced in 1980, the Charleston was a special-edition model featuring a two-tone body and a more luxurious interior. At its heart was an air-cooled flat-2 engine that had grown to 602 cc over the generations, and while it produced just 28.6 HP, that was enough to propel the extremely lightweight body with ease.
