Starting in 2012, Subaru entered the BRZ into Japan’s domestic Super GT series, competing in the GT300 class. After the release of the second-generation BRZ in 2021, Subaru transitioned to a new GT machine based on the updated model. The new car retained proven elements like the EJ20 engine, while incorporating enhancements to weight distribution and aerodynamics. That same year, the BRZ claimed the GT300 class championship, marking a historic first for Subaru.
