About this car
This mid-engine sports car set the stage for the famous Pantera.
This was De Tomaso’s second production mid-engine sports car. To address the lack of power in the earlier Vallelunga, it was fitted with a Ford V-8 engine. Weighing approximately 1.3 tons, the car could reach a top speed of 155.3 mph, thanks to its lightweight construction. The exterior, notable for its gullwing-opening rear section, was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro during his time at Carrozzeria Ghia. Production was limited to just 401 units.
