It's a bookmarklet: a bookmark that runs a few lines of our code on the page you're on. It only works on gran-turismo.com.

A small box opens on their page, and a small window from us. It asks gran-turismo.com for your own short-lived session token (about 60 minutes) and hands it to that window, which sends it to us over HTTPS.
We confirm your PSN ID, then discard the token
We read your profile and stats once with that token. If the PSN ID matches your account, you get the Verified badge and your Dashboard tiles. The token is never stored or logged.

Privacy
- What we receive
- Your gran-turismo.com session token, once, when you click the bookmark. It expires on its own after about 60 minutes.
- What we do with it
- One profile request and one stats request to gran-turismo.com, then the token is thrown away. Never stored, never logged.
- What we keep
- That your PSN ID matched, the date, your GT7 user ID (to recognise you on re-sync) and a snapshot of the stats shown on your profile.
- Your control
- Re-sync any time with the same bookmark. Deleting your account from My watches removes the snapshot too.
This uses gran-turismo.com's own website data with your session, not an official API. Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment don't endorse it, and it may stop working if they change their site. If they ask us to stop, we will.
